The Armed Services Committee of the National Federation
of Republican Women offers this site to assist clubs and state federations
develop outreach to our troops.
Supporting our troops is our mission. They serve us, keep us safe,
ensure our freedom. We owe them much. With this in mind, the NFRW
Armed Services Committee is called to action. Please check our
Projects page for ideas that your club or state federation can
adopt and implement. We have support for you in your endeavor.
NFRW never takes for granted the importance of our military. Our
outreach is for them.

NFRW ASC State Quilt Contest
We hope to see The State Quilt Contest become a
tradition. We are creating this contest among the state and independent
federations in hope to show support for our troops and one of
our yearly projects.
The 2009 Project is to financially help keep the web site:
www.Any Soldier.com online.
The quilts created by each state federation will go to our Quilts
of Valor project (www.nfrwasc.org).
These quilts will be specifically earmarked for Korea Veterans
in Veterans Hospitals. Linda Lafford from Colorado informed me
last year that all the quilts/afghans taken to the hospital have
been for Iraq/Afghanistan soldiers. The hospitals had expressed
they were having an influx of Korean and Vietnam Veterans that
they weren’t prepared for. There were no donations for these
vets. We hope to correct this situation.
